Engines and performance
According to Dayton Andrews Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, there are three engines to choose from for the RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 that can be selected based on your needs. The standard engine is a 410-hp 6.4-liter V-8, with429 lb.-ft of torque. It’s coupled with theexceptionalRAM-developed, eight-speed automatic. Even though this is the only engine and transmission offered for the 4×4 Power Wagon, all other models can be equipped with a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six.
Two different versions of the Cummins diesel are readily accessible to the public. The standard version is offered for both RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 models.Itpresents370 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft of torque. The 400-hp HO version (which is only available on the 3500 model), exudes an astonishing 1000 lb.-ft of torque. The engines are powered by a specifically constructed six-speed automatic.
Driver-Assist Features
The 2020 RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 come equipped with various driver-assist features, making your ride safer and more reliable. Many upgrades can be added as well, to take some of the stress out of driving. Almost all trim levels receive standard front and back parking sensors. However, the voluntary“Safety Group” package is also available for purchase and incorporates forward-collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage. Interior Design
RAM offers an abundance of trim levels and cab styles, meaning that interior materials, passenger space, and tech features will differ, depending on what you choose and what your needs are. The Longhorn trim is a mix of striped wood and gold trim on the dash, doors, and gauges. The Longhorn logo is also carved into the wood on the glovebox.
Connectivity
The Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab’s big brothers, the RAM 2020 2500 and 3500 series, are equipped with innovative technology which is some of the best in the current market. Although the standard screen is 8”, you can easily upgrade to the massive 12.0-inch touchscreen, making it much simpler to navigate through the many options and features the truck has to offer. Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
The new RAM 2500 and 3500 models get exactly the same basic coverage as every other 2020 Ram Truck. The only sizeable difference is that the powertrain warranty includes the gas engine for five years (or 60,000 miles)while the Cummins diesel engine is covered for five years (or 100,000 miles.)
