2019 Jaguar F-Type

FindItMore | There’s a special place in our hearts for exceptionally loud and blistering fast sports cars with a hearty rumble, which imparts why we love the 2019 Jaguar F-Type. The sleek body lines and stunning proportions of the F-Type combined with the sweet sounds of the engine make this sports car a true head-turner.

Our local jaguar dealer, Warren Henry Jaguar of Miami, explains that the F-Type isn’t a one size fits all type of sports car which is why it comes available as either a coupe or a convertible, several different engine options, and even more trim levels. The P300 starts things off for the F-Type model lineup with push-button ignition, LED headlights and taillights, an active sport exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, power-adjustable seats with memory settings, leather, and microsuede upholstery, a power-adjustable, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The P300 continues to impress on the high-tech front with a 10-inch touchscreen, navigation, rear parking sensors, a backup camera, Bluetooth, real-time traffic and routing, satellite radio, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Powering the F-Type P300 is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which pumps out 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes mated with rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Move on down the model lineup and you’ll find the P340 which comes similarly equipped to the P300 but with one high horse-powered difference. Under the hood of the P340, you’ll find a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. This supercharged engine kicks out 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque for even faster acceleration. The P340 also gives you the option of either the eight-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmission.

Continuing with the trend of higher horsepower is the P380 with you guessed it 380 horsepower. This model unlocks the optional all-wheel drive, a limited-slip differential, ad adaptive suspension, and upgraded brakes. The R-Dynamic version of the P380 adds gloss black exterior trim pieces and a driver-selectable active exhaust. This type of exhaust allows you to open up the exhaust flow for an even louder more dramatic sound.

The Type-F R continues down the high horse-powered rabbit hole. Under the hood of the R model, you’ll find a massive 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. This even larger supercharged engine pushes the R to make 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. The R model doesn’t just add a bigger engine, it also adds features such as keyless entry, leather-wrapped panels, auto-dimming side mirrors, leather sport seats, gloss black exterior trim, 20-inch wheels, and larger brakes.

At the end of the high horse-powered rabbit hole, you’ll find the top-tier SVR. The SVR rounds out the model lineup nicely with a stupendously fast higher-output supercharged V8 that makes 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. A carbon-fiber rear spoiler and upgraded interior trim give the SVR an even sportier exterior look while the interior features a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and front parking sensors.

The features don’t stop with the SVR, Jaguar goes on to offer a laundry list of optional features for the Type-F. You can completely customize your Type-F with a Meridian surround-sound audio system, heated and ventilated seats, a carbon-fiber roof, a power liftgate, a fixed panoramic sunroof, upgraded leather upholstery, and additional driver assistance features.
